Becoming Storm is performance in the form of a self-portrait through multiple bodies: a scattered body, a fictional body, a real body, a female body, a painful body, a present body, an absent body, a heavy body, an imagined body, an anatomical body, a dancer’s body, a healing body, an individual body and a collective body.
By trying to empathise with the subjective and sensory experiences of these bodies, it’s a dance that takes the form of a physical ‘selfie’ that moves through the abstract and the tangible, the audible and the felt and between the seen and unseen. It’s also a dance that tries to navigate through an ongoing storm in the search for the singular body and where that body might begin or end.
